These
2 lakes are fabulous!! Draycote and Eyebrook are seriously well run, well stocked Trout lakes regularly topped up with the best quality hard fighting fish. Many of the photo images we have used are taken at Draycote, like the one being returned in this photo. The fish in Draycote and Eyebrook pack the weight on and become well conditioned very quickly due to the natural food available in these lakes, making them some of the best fighting Trout available to UK Fly Fishermen.Draycote is famous for it's top of the water sport and catches of big fish on small dry flies. Rutland Water
Rutland Water is possibly the jewel in the crown of the UK Trout lakes.........
Rutland Water is the largest of the UK Trout lakes and often the best, especially in Spring and Autumn. Depending on the weather conditions and time of year, fly fishing on Rutland Water can produce spectacular results. Buzzer hatches here are amazing and the Trout have a rich diet all year round ranging from tiny Daphnia to large fry. Rutland is famous for producing big Brown Trout. The one below caught by Nick Dunn in May 2018 was nearly Nine pounds in weight!

It is not as large as Rutland Water but still a big lake. The sport is fantastic all year round with buzzer and daphnia feeders in spring and summer and then shrimp feeders in late summer and Autumn. Depending on the weather conditions and time of year, fly fishing on Grafham Water can produce incredibly spectacular results and very large Trout from boat and bank alike.
